Our company name was inspired by the bamboo plant—strong, flexible and easily adapted for variety of global solutions. Bamboo symbolizes the strength of our products, the configurability of our technical solutions and the myriad potential uses of our products across multiple applications.

Our firm is privately held, fully owned by Yggdrasil of Malmo, Sweden.

Our corporate headquarters is in Reston. Its main focus is as a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor and its primary thrust is on Microsoft SharePoint products and technologies.
Who are your primary customers?
We have more than 4,000 global customers, physically and online.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Our online store and community allow customers to quickly find the products and expertise that they need to deploy robust SharePoint applications. Because our products are available online, a la carte, customers are empowered to buy what they need, when they need it. Bamboo offers Web Parts, Solutions Accelerators, and product packs and suites designed to meet the needs of both small and large organizations. Our community site lets users share their experiences and gain knowledge from a global user and partner community.
How many employees do you have?
Currently, we have 110 employees worldwide. Sales, marketing and product management positions are anticipated in the next 12 months.
