Advertising Campaign
The FCEDA promotes Fairfax County through an extensive national advertising campaign that includes sponsorship on National Public Radio and print advertising. Our print advertisements promote the county's excellent school system, educated workforce quality of life and tech-savy business community. Fairfax County has conducted advertising campaigns for more than 25 years. A brief history of how the county has been promoted is here.
Advertisements
Our advertising campaign, "The Power of Ideas," received the 2008 Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest professional association of economic development practitioners in the world.
The "The Power of Ideas," campaign highlights Fairfax County's innovative companies and the educated, highly skilled people who work in them. The series consists of three print ads and has appeared in national magazines and regional newspapers. The Richmond, Virginia, marketing communications firm of Siddall created the ads.
